My jewelry stuff is scattered to the four winds at the moment. A bit in the dining room, more in the living room, most of it put into boxes in the back. I'll be pulling it all out soon to move it to my father's shop. After that, I'll be able to work on it more steadily and will probably have some new and supper awesome stuff to put up. You can offer payment method by check or money order, but paypal is the safest and most assured, most instant way of collecting payment.
Its very easy to set up and they (etsy) only charge .20 per listing you post (for three months) and a $1 sevice charge every month. If you sell something there is also a 0.3% transaction charge.
So they don't rob you blind for having a store with them and you have an efficient operation for selling your jewelry, very handy.
